Emmy’s Fashion 2013

Emmy’s Fashion Time!

Unfortunately, I missed last night’s Emmy Awards show because I was attempting (and failing) to fly home from a wedding in Wisconsin.  The leading ladies of television wowed in gorgeous gowns of every color and style.  I absolutely love catching up the day after any awards show on all of the stars’ fashion choices!  From my perusing the Internet this morning, I have narrowed down my choices to the top three best dressed last night.  And here we go:

1. Padma Lakshmi

This host of Top Chef was absolutely my favorite look from last night.  I love when ladies wear simple dresses and just bask in their natural beauty; because Padma is naturally gorgeous, this dress looks effortless on her.  The color completely complements her skin tone, and her minimal accessories evaporates any distraction from her beauty.  A+ job, Padma.

2. Zooey Deschanel

Zooey is pretty much everyone’s girl crush, let’s be honest.  She has a great personality, is hilarious, but most importantly, is a huge advocate for being yourself.  She cracks us up in The New Girl, made us cry in 500 Days of Summer, and makes us envious every time she walks down the red carpet.  I love her style because she is always mixing her girlie and vintage sides, and last night was no exception.  She looks absolutely stunning in this Cinderella inspired gown.  Look closely; the color of the dress matches her eyes.  Oh, to be so perfect.  Sigh.

3. Allison Williams

I absolutely love this fashion newcomer.  She has great genes (helllloooo, Brian Williams!) so obviously she looks incredible in literally ANYTHING she wears.  And I mean ANYTHING — you know what I’m talking about if you’ve seen Girls.  Seriously though, everything about her, from her hair to her nails to her skin, is flawless.  This royal blue looks stunning on her.  The higher waistline of the dress elongates her already miles-long legs, something every girl could envy.  I really don’t know what else to say.  Just look at her.
